Harm reduction is one of the most basic public health solutions, which is served to replace high-risk behaviors of people in society and refers to policies and programs whose primary goal is to reduce adverse health consequences and complications caused by drug consumption. Due to the importance of harm reduction programs, Rebirth has implemented such programs for the target group in hotspots. Rebirth provides health services to patients by setting up drop-in centers (DIC), night shelters, mobile centers, and outreach teams. The activities focus on the control of HIV transmission through high-risk injection and unprotected sexual intercourse. Currently, Rebirth has about 40 harm reduction centers across the country.
